Job Description

SUMMARY: Designs implements and evaluates curriculum and instructional framework for English Language Arts and Social Studies instruction across schools grade levels content areas and populations. Works with other district leaders to coordinate ELA and social studies standards approaches and assessments. Oversees resources devoted to ELA and social studies. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential and/or EXPERIENCE:Masters degree in education education leadership or related field.3 years of classroom teaching Partnership in Comprehensive Literacy coach training and instructional coaching experience preferred045 Asst Building Leader 040 Building Leader or 078 Curriculum Coordinator certification preferredLANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to communicate clearly and effectivelyAbility to complete graduate level assignments including written assignments and reading of professional literatureMATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to present and analyze school dataKnowledgeable in the use of technology for instruction data analysis and presentationsREASONING ABILITY:Ability to define problems collects and analyzes data establish facts and draw valid SKILLS and ABILITIES:Ability to operate equipment including but not limited to photocopying machines and computers. Ability to assume responsibility for supervising students understand and carry out oral and written instructions. Ability to develop effective working relationships with students staff and the school community. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
