Job Description
Job Title: Employee Benefits Support Specialist
Compensation: Depending on experience starting at $21/hr
Location: Fairport NY
Since 1978 our client has specialized in the design administration and management of employee benefits plansincluding dental vision prescription drug and flexible spending accounts. They partner with brokers carriers and plan sponsors to deliver creative and costeffective solutions backed by friendly responsive service. The Role
Were looking for an Employee Benefits Support Specialist who loves digging into the details of benefits design enjoys talking to people and knows how to get stuff done. This isnt a highoversight heavily structured environmentyoull need to be independent selfmotivated and ready to take initiative. Youll be a key player on a very small team so your voice your ideas and your work will have an immediate and lasting impact.
Youll have your own office (not a cubicle) and while we envision growing into a call center model eventually right now its all about getting the job done with efficiency heart and a bit of humor.
This is a huge opportunity to help us build and refine claim entry systems streamline client services and shape the future of our operations.
Responsibilities
Manage relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction with their benefits plans
Handle inquiries regarding claims billing eligibility and plan administration
Manage claim entry workflowsthis is your baby to build
Coordinate with carriers brokers and internal teams to keep everything running smoothly
Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines (NDA and HIPAA documentation required)
Stay informed on Life Accident and Health licensingbonus points if youre already licensed or interested
Collaborate with the founder and team to identify and fill operational gaps
Operate independently with confidence while staying aligned with the teams goals
Qualifications
1 years experience in employee benefits insurance. Extra points for working in Dental Claims
Comfortable in a fastmoving lightly managed environment
Excellent communicator who can connect easily with clients
Exceptionally organized and able to manage multiple priorities independently
