Wiltshire College & University Centre have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Head Pathways to join our team.

Location: Salisbury Wiltshire

Salary: 40876 rising to42711 per annum (Deputy Head Grade 1 & 2)

Job Type: Permanent Full Time 37 hours per week/52 weeks per year

Wiltshire College & University Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Deputy Head Pathways to join our dedicated team. This is a great opportunity to lead with purpose foster innovation and make a real impact in a faculty that supports some of the most rewarding and meaningful aspects of further education.

Pathways is a vital area of our provision supporting learners with additional needs or those navigating alternative routes to success. As Deputy Head you will work closely with the Head of Faculty to lead a team of passionate educators and ensure the delivery of inclusive engaging and highquality teaching.

This role is ideal for someone who is ready to move into a leadership position or who already has some leadership experience and is looking to further develop in a forwardthinking environment.

Deputy Head Pathways Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Faculty in leading and managing the Pathways team to deliver excellent outcomes for learners.
  • Drive innovation in curriculum design and inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Provide coaching mentoring and support to academic staff to help them thrive professionally.
  • Monitor student progress and support continuous quality improvement.
  • Play an active role in faculty planning and crosscollege development initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • A dedicated and experienced teacher with a strong background in Pathways SEND or inclusive education.
  • A collaborative leader who thrives in a team environment and values shared success.
  • Someone with a clear vision for the future of Pathways education and the confidence to lead change.
  • A strong communicator who is committed to professional growthfor themselves and their colleagues.
  • Experience in curriculum development learner support and quality assurance will be an advantage.

Essential Qualifications

  • To hold a minimum level 3 qualification in an appropriate subject and/or significant experience in a relevant area.
  • To be a qualified teacher with substantial teaching experience in an appropriate subject area.
