If you are a professional able to work quite independently and have a thorough knowledge of the discipline and the role we invite you to apply. You will have an office type work with own desk PC and phone number next to your colleagues. Our facility includes assembly line and engine test and rig cells.
What your day to day will look like:
- Improve analytical method for containment analysis for Gas turbine airfoils using energy methods and FEA in LsDyna.
- Develop / define and calibrate ice/hail impact or blade containment in FEA in Ansys or LsDyna for static airfoil made of composite materials.
- Goal is to achieve competitive advantage by improving analytical process and reducing development cost towards certification.
What you need to be successful:
Must haves:
- Be eligible to work in Canada
- Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship
- Be able to work onsite in the province where you are hired if applicable
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering Mechatronic Engineering Aerospace Engineering programs (2nd 4th year grade student).
- Relevant Courses: Mechanics of materials / Damage in Materials Static / Mechanics of Deformable Solids Structure & Properties of materials.
Assets:
- LSDyna experience
- Finite Element Analysis
- Engineering mechanics
- Solid Mechanics
- Dynamics
- Machinery Design.
Work Environment Office type
What my role type is:
Onsite only 8am to 5pm.
Some flexibility of working hours within a week is offered.
