About the role and where you will be working:

The role oversees a team delivering nonclinical Mental Health Recovery Services for individuals aged 1865 with severe and persistent mental health conditions.

This position holds operational responsibility and leadership of the Community Options Community Mental Health and Disability Teams to provide recovery and personcentered support in the community to individuals experiencing long term mental illness.

This position is full time located in our central office in Rivervale with the option to work from home 2 days per week.

Well also be asking you to:

  • Ensure compliance requirements are effectively managed for your team keeping all documentation current and promptly uploaded to Employee Self Service.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to employees on the importance of following safety protocols offering opportunities for relevant and uptodate training and instruction.
  • Demonstrate safe behavior and promote continuous improvement by utilising available resources providing coaching and documenting safety outcomes with team members.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets for the Mental Health and Disability Department coordinate reporting activities across all subprogram areas and report variances and restorative activities to the Chief Operating Officer.
  • Lead and coordinate personcentered planning implementation and evaluation activities; drive service development and quality improvement initiatives; provide effective leadership and mentorship to the Mental Health and Disability Team; and collaborate with senior management to lead strategic business activity unit change.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant standards by leading your team to uphold clients rights responsibilities safety and privacy while acting with respect kindness and in accordance with the outlined behaviors.

About you:

Youre an experienced leader with an indepth working knowledge of relevant standards quality indicators and national standards.

Developing and mentoring staff comes naturally and you take great pride in leading by example.

With a genuine desire to make a positive difference in peoples lives youre ready to step into a new role and lead your team in achieving excellence in service and compliance.

To be considered for this role youll need:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a mental health or human services environment
  • Familiarity with Mental Health or NDIS funding systems
  • Strong background in recoveryoriented and personcentered practices
  • Proven experience in managing teams across multiple locations
