This position serves as the Peer Services Outreach and Expansion Analyst and functions as the recognized resource for Parent Support Partner (PSP) and Youth Peer Support Services. PSP is a peer delivered service for parents and/or caregivers of children/youth with Serious Emotional Disturbances (SED) or Intellectual/Developmental Disability (I/DD) served within the Community Mental Health (CMH) system. Youth Peer Support is a peer delivered service for youth and young adults within the CMH system with SED or Serious Mental Illness (SMI). This position works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders with program development leads the development of policy Medicaid policy develops guidelines for delivery of services and coordinates and leads training and assistance to families providers service agencies public payers and State of Michigan employees in conjunction with Association for Childrens Mental Health (ACMH). This position also serves as the MDHHS lead for provider certification for Parent Support Partner and Youth Peer Support Services in conjunction with ACMH. This position also oversees statewide expansion and implementation of both PSP and YPS in conjunction with ACMH.

Required Education and Experience

Education
Possession of a bachelors degree in any major.

Preferred: Bachelors or Masters degree in social work psychology counseling and guidance child development family and child ecology sociology family and community services family studies or comparable program.

Experience
Departmental Analyst 12 Three years of professional experience including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service.

Alternate Education and Experience

Departmental Analyst 9 12 Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of fulltime activeduty experience at or above the E6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.
