Job Description

Job Description Summary

The Service Technician II Offshore Wind is responsible for all resources and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on the Merkur customers site / property within his team. This includes all types of maintenance services (i.e. preventive and corrective) managing maintenance facilities and coordinate with your Site Management Team on the SOV and other support functions. Driving operational excellence quality and safety is key priority for this role.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational team. Be fully responsible for the execution of all servicerelated tasks with respect to EHS (ToolBoxTalks Incident Reporting etc.) Lockout/Tagout Process Knowledge (LOTO) Taking over the Anlagenverantwortung (ANLV) while working on the WEC.
  • Be the point of contact for the GE Site Management and representing your team and being able to motivate your team
  • Coordinate and perform administrative activities as per relevant service processes including tracking work activities manage component/parts deliveries to/from your location or on the SOV
  • Participate in process & quality improvement initiatives and provide feedback on lessons learned to your Site Management Team
  • Able to coordinate the team work timings to align with marine transfer pickup times
  • Able to react on short notice work condition changes due to changes in the planning or weather related

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Professional education/apprenticeship in an electrical technical discipline with professional experience or other additional education (for example EFFT) to cover a basic electrical background
  • Ability and willingness to work offshore in a rotational shift system on a vessel
  • Proven ability to work in a crossfunctional and global environment remote teams strong team player
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Fluency in English language

Desired Characteristics

  • Proven offshore wind experience or experience in a related discipline
  • Ability to perform troubleshooting and maintenance according to the manufacturers specifications at Avanti Pegasus XL service lift is a plus
  • Ability to perform troubleshooting and maintenance according to the manufacturers specifications at Palfinger PSM400 service crane is a plus
  • Proven rope access experience is a plus
  • German language skills
