What youll do...

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Principal Architect to lead the design and implementation of our enterprise systems and technology solutions . Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a teambased work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and fosters a culture of belonging. Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans programs and initiatives; consulting with business partners managers coworkers or other key stakeholders; soliciting evaluating and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and costeffectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

About Team

The platforms you build will be used for creating OMNI pricing platform for Walmart across both eCommerce ; store channel ; across multiple countries with each of them being a multibillion dollar business for Walmart. You will be challenged with unparalleled complex business problems that span across multiple countries and a large number of users and data. This team enables our stores and eCommerce operations across the world. The platforms that we build are used in most of the markets where Walmart has its presence (US Canada Mexico Chile Central America). The pricing platform in Walmart focuses on setting EDLP for stores ; least price for the eCommerce channel among all the competitors.

What Youll Do:

Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community

Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda set your priorities and deliver awesome products

Work closely with Distinguished Architects and crossfunctional teams and follow established practices for the delivery of solutions meeting QCD (Quality Cost and Delivery) within the established architectural guidelines

Participate in hiring and building teams enabling them to be highperforming agile teams

You will work with engineering teams to create highlevel and lowlevel designs and drive design

You will come up with quality best practices and other Nonfunctional standards and guide the teams to execute them along with helping them with overall technical and design aspects

You will help implement cuttingedge models and algorithms that operate on massive amounts of data and Interact with Walmart cross crossfunctional engineering teams as cloud platform analytics etc. across geographies to leverage technical expertise and contribute to the engineering community.

What Youll Bring:

B. Tech. / B. E. / M. Tech. / M. S. in Computer Science or relevant discipline.

15 years of experience in the design and development of highly scalable distributed applications and platforms particularly for multitenant SaaS products.

Programming language Java Kotlin Scala

Experience building a Code Deploy Run pipeline using DevOps best practices by leveraging the best available CI/CD tools.

Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures algorithms and design patterns.

Own Tech Debt/Tech Modernization Ability to balance the longterm big picture and shortterm implications of design decisions.

Having proficiency in Java/J2EE Microservices and Cloud Native Architecture.

Handson experience in Microservices and RESTful web services development in Java SpringBoot Spring Kafka or equivalent framework).

Good knowledge of messaging systems: Kafka / RabbitMQ.

Indepth knowledge of Cloud Native Architecture Microservice Architecture and related stacks (Service Registry ELK / Splunk service registry VMs etc. ) and container technologies (Docker Kubernetes etc. )

Knowledge of at least one of Azure/Google Cloud Platforms.

Selfstarter with the ability to multitask across several priority areas in the face of fuzzy situations.

Demonstrated endtoend ownership for the development and design of at least one cloudbased project.

Strong handson development skills to prototype technical solutions.

Strong desire to drive change and ability to adapt to change quickly.

We are looking for a Staff Technical Program Manager to join our Walmart International eCommece Engineering teams (based in Sunnyvale) to own and drive several complex programs forming a portfolio of efforts that are geared towards achieving Walmart International eCommerces business goals.

What youll do

• Develop broad domain and technical knowledge.

• Understand key technical dependencies between the crossfunctional teams: Data contracts Infrastructure dependencies like cloud capacity and platform services and Info sec requirements. Drive the crossfunctional teams to think about and plan these dependencies throughout the various stages of the project
• Have a complete view of the program and know how the dependencies affect each team; Use technical judgment to drive project delivery and adjust milestones as dependencies change.
• Setup technology reviews across all the impacted teams challenge proposals and build consensus.
• Work closely with architects engineering managers and tech leads to ensure that the systems are productionready and observable monitoring alerts etc.
• Set product and technical milestones track deliverables manage expectations identify risks at the right time and drive mitigations across all stages of the project.
• Have daytoday responsibilities for managing complex Agile software development programs and projects to completion.

• Builds roadmaps and Lead large complex crossfunctional teams within your market and with our stakeholders and partners to initiate build delivery and consultation services.
• Develops program/project/release plans and timelines (usually involving multiple tracks) monitors execution progress and drives resolution to possible scope/time tradeoffs
• Manages multiple highly complex projects (for example migrations and system integrations) or a large complex Global eCommerce program in an Agile environment (for example software development infrastructure).
• Aligns geographically distributed teams to common business/endcustomer/release goals works crossfunctionally to achieve them and ensures accountability to deliver them
• Resolves issues makes recommendations for improvements to existing processes and develops Program Management best practices.
• Interact and drive communication with key Business Stakeholders Engineering/ Product Leaders and Executive sponsors.
• Ability to team with Product managers Engineers and Engineering leaders to establish and maintain our roadmap setting appropriate expectations and insuring our product and services meet our high standards for service excellence.
• Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission values and standards of ethics and integrity
• Perform statistical analysis to identify data trends diagnose product painpoints and calculate KPIs leveraging survey tools such asExcel and more advanced statistical packages.

What Youll Have:

• Bachelor of Science/Masters and 8 years full lifecycle technical program management experience OR Master of Science and 5 years technical program management experience OR 8 years technical program management experience.
• Experience using multiple development approaches (Agile Kanban ideal).
• Coaching teams on various aspects of the problem process tools and context.
• Experience in working with global and crossfunctional internal and external teams.
• Excellent written verbal presentation and organizational skills ability to interface with all levels within the organization.
• Comfortable in a fast paced ambiguous and growing environment.
• Agile tools (JIRA Confluence Portfolio and Planning Tools)
• Analytical skills with data sets and intermediate knowledge of statistics from ALM tools or workflow analytics based software
• Experience or Understanding of large scale distributed systems databases big data systems and Cloud native application development
• Solid technical aptitude and an ability to understand technical designs challenges and risks
• Contribute to strategy of programs and projects.
