Job Description
Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a detailoriented and skilled Soldering and Assembly Technician to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling and soldering electronic components and products according to specifications ensuring highquality standards are met throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform precision hand soldering of throughhole and surfacemount components on PCBs.
- Assemble mechanical and electronic components using hand tools and soldering irons.
- Read and interpret schematics blueprints assembly drawings and work instructions.
- Inspect and test completed assemblies for quality and functionality.
- Identify and correct defects or rework assemblies as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and comply with safety and ESD protocols.
- Report issues in components or processes to the supervisor or engineering team.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
- Minimum 35 years of soldering and assembly experience in a manufacturing or lab environment.
- Proficiency in hand soldering (IPC certification preferred).
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow written/verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- IPCA610 or JSTD001 certification.
- Experience with microscope soldering and rework.
- Familiarity with electronic testing equipment (e.g. multimeters power supplies).
