Job Description

Adelphi is seeking Physical Therapists to support students with gross motor and mobility needs in Monmouth County New Jersey. The ideal candidate will develop and implement therapy plans that help students access their educational environment safely and effectively.

Requirements:

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree.

Active NJ PT license.

Experience in school or pediatric settings preferred

Responsibilities:

Conduct PT evaluations to assess motor functioning and mobility needs.

Develop IEPaligned treatment plans to improve balance strength and coordination.

Provide direct and consultative therapy services across school settings.

Monitor student progress and update therapy plans as needed.

Collaborate with staff on strategies for classroom mobility positioning and equipment use.

Attend IEP meetings and provide detailed input regarding student needs and progress.

Ensure accurate documentation of services and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Train staff on safe handling techniques and studentspecific supports.

Support students in transitioning between settings (e.g. playground bus classroom).

Any other duties as assigned.
