Overview
HSM is seeking qualified candidates for the Maintenance Mechanic position at our Metal Plant in Hickory NC.

Responsibilities
- Ability to analyze and repair machine and equipment involving mechanical pneumatic hydraulic other power sources and basic electronics.
- Able to read and/or understand blueprints schematics and standard metric measurements
- Transport parts using forklift.
- Perform basic machine shop duties
- Perform basic welding duties.
- Maintain a clean organized area.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of parts.
Qualifications
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be able to work without direct supervision
- Must be able to read measuring devices blueprints and schematics
- Must have good communication skills
- Must have excellent work record and attendance
- Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks
- Must have good math skills (add subtract divide convert to metrics system geometry).
- Prefer electromechanical and basic PLC troubleshooting experience.
- Knowledge of ISO and/or TS16949 requirements a plus
- Knowledge of Lean Principles a plus
- Knowledge of automotive PPAP and launch activities a plus
- Knowledge of barcoding printing and scanning equipment a plus
