Associate Registrar
JOB SUMMARY
The Associate Registrar reporting to the Registrar will serve as the VA Coordinator and Spalding Universitys Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) overseeing the evaluation and articulation of domestic and international transcripts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will also serve as the Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) who manages international students and ensures compliance with government are required for each campus certified by the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP). PDSO responsibilitiesinclude: Serve as the main point of contact for SEVP; Update DSO information in SEVIS; File for recertification; Submit requests to DHS through SEVIS for the addition or deletion of DSOs and Sign the F1 immigration document (Form I20).
Additionally this position evaluates and articulates incoming domestic and international foreign transcripts. Researches transfer credits and reports findings to department chairs/advisors for official evaluations of incoming transfer work. Performs appropriate entry of those evaluations. Assists with updating and maintaining the student information system. Develops working relationships with Academic Departments Admissions and Advising and advises prospective and current students including international transfer students with questions about their transfer credit evaluations and how the transfer credit relates to their program of choice. Determines eligibility of standard transfer credit including transcripts from AP CLEP DSST ACE IB Military JST and others. Apply General Education waivers for eligible transfer degrees. Aid students and Advising in referencing their Degree Works Audit system and advise students on remaining degree requirements.
