You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe nursing education manager provides leadership based on the vision mission philosophy and core values of Mayo Clinic Department of Nursing and EPD. The nursing education manager plans directs coordinates and evaluates the operational personnel and fiscal activities to ensure the provision of high quality education across the care continuum. The role includes ongoing collaboration and communication utilizing participative decision making when appropriate. The nursing education manager is responsible for promoting ongoing development of all staff and for maintaining a professional environment in which all staff can grow and develop. The manager applies current nursing and leadership theories to coordinate educational services. The nursing education manager acts as a resource and facilitates collaboration between nursing personnel and other healthcare disciplines throughout the organization and within the healthcare community. The nursing education manager contributes to the strategic planning process and attainment of goals of the organization.
This role is eligible for TN sponsorship. Successful sponsorship will require state licensure and completion of the VisaScreen or equivalent certification.
Graduate of a baccalaureate Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited nursing program with a Masters degree in Education or healthcarerelated field. Minimum of three years of nursing practice experience. Demonstrated leadership in committee or projects. Additional state licensure(s) and/or specialty certification/training as required by the work area. A valid drivers license is required.
Additional Qualifications:
Masters in Nursing with a focus on education preferred. Nursing education experience preferred.
Internal applicants should submit their three most recent performance appraisals.
Must obtain prior to start date:
Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
BLS (Basic Life Support) must be valid for 90 days post start date acceptable BLS certificates are American Heart Association: BLS Provider or American Red Cross: Basic Life Support or CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers.
