Job Description

Under general supervision you will:- Provide professional respectful and ethical individual and group counseling to adults. Function effectively with all other members of the clinical team as well as administrative and support staff.
- Attend daily clinical staffing.
- Professionally assess patient needs and make appropriate referrals for dual diagnosis mental health physician outreach programs recovery houses and continuing care plans.
- Document patient progress in a timely and accurate manner. This includes but is not limited to treatment plans progress notes case presentation and discharge summary; all based upon SCVRD criteria.
- Complete annual continuing education requirements and population specific education.
- Attend agency trainings and perform lectures/outreach projects/programs as requested.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
- Masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or a related field.
- Knowledge of counseling theory addiction theory and recovery desired.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in providing vocational rehabilitation services to consumers receiving inpatient treatment for alcohol and /or other drug abuse/addictions preferred.
- Dual License is preferred but not required: Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) and/or a Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC).
