Job Description
Name of Employer: Dominos Pizza Inc.
Position Title: Database Design & Analysis Engineer III
Position Location: 30 Frank Lloyd Wright Dr. Ann Arbor MI 48105
Days / Hours: Mon Fri / 9:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.
Summary of Duties: Utilizing knowledge of data structures and design patterns for Business Intelligence tell stories leveraging data tools and insights to fuel company growth and efficient operations. Regularly consult with internal business partners and provide actionable insights through creative use of data collection data wrangling and engineering and storytelling. Root cause business questions translate available data streams and develop tools that answer what happened why it happened and what will happen if. Find and evangelize important KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). Develop prescriptive insight tools to support internal stakeholders (Operations Supply Chain Finance HR etc.) enabling them to make better faster datadriven decisions. Estimate effort and support project scoping. Contribute to software development lifecycle (SDLC) patterns.
Qualifications :
Qualifications: Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science Information Technology Mathematics Statistics Data Science or related field of study and 5 years of progressive experience managing data retrieval and analysis and transforming that data in into insights.
Applicants must have demonstrated experience with the following:
1) Microstrategy development and administration experience;
2) relational DBMS technology;
3) data wrangling with SQL pandas or dplyr;
4) data engineering for performance to include clustered and nonclustered indexes CCIs partitions segment elimination views SSAS and distribution keys;
5) at least one data visualization platform for Business Intelligence (including but not limited to Power BI Cognos QlikView or Tableau);
6) version control tools (such as GitHub BitBucket);
7) using scripting languages (python R and shell scripting) for automation;
8) providing technical guidance on analyzing data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making; and
9) developing action plans based on business requirements analysis compliance needs and ability of an organization to absorb change.
*Hybrid position requiring weekly onsite work Monday through Thursday in Ann Arbor office*
