This position is part of Procores AI Studios and reports to the Director of Machine Learning in the Construction Intelligence division. It will be based in our Toronto ON Canada office. Were looking for someone to join us immediately. Apply today to join our team of Groundbreakers.
What youll do:
- Build and maintain robust scalable software systems that support machine learning workflows based on Python/Java
- Collaborate with ML engineers product managers and designers to turn research prototypes into productionready applications and services.
- Design and implement backend services and APIs that integrate machine learning models into userfacing features or internal platforms.
- Write clean maintainable and welltested code following best practices in software engineering and contribute to code reviews and team design discussions.
- Support deployment and monitoring of ML services in production ensuring reliability performance and observability.
- Build AI Agents that automate parts of the workflow improving productivity for Construction Pros.
What were looking for:
- 3 years of software engineering experience with Python and Java including experience with backend frameworks (e.g. FastAPI Flask or Express).
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and workflows and experience collaborating with ML practitioners to bring models into production.
- Experience building RESTful APIs developing microservices and integrating with internal and external data systems.
- Proficient in Docker and deploying applications in Kubernetes environments including basic Helm chart usage.
- Solid understanding of software development practices including Git automated testing code reviews and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and work collaboratively in a fastmoving crossfunctional environment.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS GCP or Azure with experience in deploying containerized applications or using managed ML services.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with ML orchestration tools such as Ray Airflow or similar especially for supporting largescale model training or inference workflows.
- Familiarity in working with LLM APIs/tools and prompt engineering
- Interest in data tooling model observability or performance monitoring for ML services.
Additional Information :
Base Pay Range $99360 $136620. Eligible for Bonus Incentive Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive fair and commensurate compensation and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation will be based on a candidates jobrelated skills experience education or training and location.
