The Manager of Utilization Management has the authority accountability and responsibility for the supervision of the daily operations of the Utilization Management Program. Through effective leadership motivation and coaching the manager assures attainment of department key service and performance indicators.Additional Information:
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Nursing or Masters Degree in Physical Therapy Occupational Therapy or Speech Therapy required.
Masters degree in Nursing Health Care Administration or Business preferred.
Require a minimum of 5 years clinical experience and 3 years Utilization Management experience.
Prefer previous supervisory experience to include hiring training or managing the performance of staff.
Strong skills in the following areas oral and written communication critical thinking organization and time management.
Certification/Licensure:
Current unrestricted license to practice nursing speech physical or occupational therapy in the State of Texas.
