Job Description
Heres what you should know:
We need YOU to help keep our students and community safe! The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining student staff visitor and building safety by patrolling the building monitoring security cameras and building relationships with our school community to create a welcoming and safe space for students staff and visitors.

Heres what youll be doing:
- Build positive rapport and relationships with all community members
- Represent our school as the first person people will interact with by upholding school values
- Observe and report activities and incidents
- Provide security and safety of students staff and property
- Respond appropriately per procedures and protocols to student infractions
- Respond to deescalate and intervene in student conflicts and altercations
- Support student entry and dismissal each day
- Monitor security cameras
- Ensure order and safety and may act to enforce rules and regulations for the school pertaining to staff visitors and premises
- Patrol building and exterior on foot check for security violations hazards unlocked doors blocked entrances and exits
- Report details of incidents in the event of accidents emergencies or security investigations while keeping the scene secure
- Maintain logs and reports as required
- Support infrequent weekend/evening events as needed
- Perform other duties as needed to support schoolwide systems
Qualifications :
Must Haves:
- At least 3 years of previous Security Experience (School Experience preferred)
- Must have a high school degree or equivalent
- Must enjoy working with students and families
- Must be able to read write and communicate with others well bilingual also a plus but not required
- Must have reliable transportation
