Job Description

POSITION TITLE: HourlyMusicAdjunct

FLSA:Exempt

REPORTS TO:Principal and/or Band Director

QUALIFICATIONS:Must have music experience. Previous music teaching experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Works with High SchoolMusic Programs to carry out a practice schedule.
  • Assist with thehigh school andmiddle school marching bands orchestra choir etc...
  • Implement established performance requirements.
  • Assists with implementing plans for music program.
  • Implement lessons that reflect accommodations for individual student differences.
  • Implement appropriate instructional and learning strategies activities materials and equipment as assigned by the director.
  • Participate in an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical social and emotional development of students.
  • Cooperates with the school personnel in providing music programs for school productions graduation ceremonies and as appropriate civic functions that enhance the students performing experience.
  • Carry out the performance responsibilities required ofall classified support personnel.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Maintain emotional control under stress.
  • Must have the ability to lift at least 40 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to endure prolonged standing walking sitting kneelingoccasional reaching above the head or the shoulders bending squatting and kneeling.
