We are committed to cultivating a place where everyone can feel they Support Services:Provide Occupational Therapy services for pediatric deaf/hard of hearing population ages 319 with diagnoses such as learning disabilities developmental delays cerebral palsy failure to thrive emotional/behavioral concerns. Responsibilities include direct treatment assessment consultation to teachers and IEP goal development. Intervention services are designed to enhance the students potential for learning to assist the student in acquiring those functional performance skills needed to participate in and benefit from the educational environment and to help the student function AND RESPONSIBILITIES:A Registered Occupational Therapist provides direct student treatment to maximize activities of daily living (ADL) through training in areas of need such as fine motor visualperceptual selfcare sensorimotor and neurodevelopment skills.A fulltime Registered Occupational Therapist carries a minimum caseload of 30 sessions and a maximum caseload of 40 sessions/week depending upon the amount of assignments and supervision time the therapist is responsible for each student evaluation and reassessment of students focusing on areas of need at intervals determined to be educationally treatment goals objectives and plans that are educationally relevant and can be sued in students educational with other members of the educational team and the family to plan appropriate programs for each student as adaptive equipment for students as students status and treatment plan via Individual Education Plan or addendum to IEP as students progress monthly via notes in the Occupational Therapy record and semiannually and as requested through reports to school and for maintaining records and scheduling students according to The Learning Center annual review meetings and other school meetings as results of evaluations and reports of Occupational Therapy services to educational staff parents students and when appropriate other professions and agencies concerned with the student. Refers students to other services as consultation to the educational system regarding student needs professional needs and system needs in order for the system to achieve its goals and students families and teachers in home activity and training and participates in inservice education and training students parents and other workers concerning Occupational Therapy techniques and C.O.T.A. if applicable on a monthly basis at lifting may be required when working with young students or students with special other tasks as assigned by the Department Supervisor.
