Job Description
Were looking for a Senior Payment Operations Analyst who is passionate about our mission of Money Without Borders. The analyst will partner with our Payment Operations organisation to help drive datadriven decisions while helping to make our payment systems smoother and more efficient.
The Payment Operations organisation is responsible for ensuring that our customers payments flow smoothly. The organisation focuses on resolving issues surrounding the movement of funds to deliver a fast and convenient payment experience for our customers.
As a Senior Payment Operations Analyst you will be driving our analytics effort to forecast the operational capacity required to resolve payment issues as well as to understand the future health and scalability of each of our payment rails. You will also build sustainable data pipelines that allow the organisation to easily create trustable and clear insights.
This is a great opportunity for an analyst that has strong product thinking and is passionate about creating convincing analyses. You will also be part of a wider team of 150 analysts that you can collaborate with on crossteam projects have knowledge sharing sessions and bring ideas on how we can improve analytics across Wise.

WHAT YOULL BE DOING
- Collaborate with various senior stakeholders in the organisation and effectively communicate your insights into real change for our customers. Join us in working towards our mission.
- Support the organisations drive to optimise its capacity by accurately forecasting workload demand and maintaining our forecast models. In addition work with various Product Specialist teams to simulate and evaluate the future health and scalability of our different products.
- Proactively contribute to own create and track key metrics and results for the organisation keeping them accountable throughout the quarter. For example understanding team KPIs workload and product health.
- Expose the vast amount of data available to the organisation in a meaningful and actionable way and support other teams in discovering insights from data.
- Support your team and the organisation by building and maintaining data pipelines preparing reports and creating visualisations.
- Work with operational leadership to build new features to automate and reduce workload prevent financial risks and create a smoother experience for our customers.
Qualifications :
- You have experience with SQL dbt (ideally) and building data pipelines. You are comfortable working with complex data models and are able to independently design and implement new models.
- You have strong quantitative skills. Ideally a background in statistics mathematics physics engineering analytics computing or any other scientific areas.
- You have strong communication skills and an ability to translate business insights into persuasive analytical narratives that are simple to understand and that drives customer impact.
- You have an ability to structure business problems with minimal supervision and prioritise problems collaboratively with stakeholders. You take ownership of your own impact on our customers.
- Be proactive. You go beyond just the analysis and get things done.
- You have experience with data visualisation tools (Looker PowerBI Tableau etc.) and demonstrate confident storytelling ability with data.
