Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position):
A student carpenter shop maintenance worker will assist our fulltime employees with various building maintenance tasks. Tasks may include organization cleaning light physical work occasional use of power toolsand other duties as required.
Transferable Skills:
Selfstarter
Must have the ability to work independently
Must have the ability to work as a team
Able to receive and understand direction given by staff members
Comfortable working with hand tools and modest physical labor
Duties and Responsibilities:
Position required commitment for the duration of summer
Receive and return timely communications from the supervisor
Complete projects as directed by supervisor or carpenter staff member
Must wear appropriate work wear. Baggy or loosefitting clothing is prohibited. St. Olaf will supply all necessary safety equipment.
Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)
Must be a St. Olaf student
Must have previously completed the I9 process through the Human Resource office.
