The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is currently seeking a Flight Simulation Labs Numerical Control Programmer to join the Flight Simulation Labs located in Berkeley MO.
This position is part of the Flight Simulation Labs Operations team and the applicant will be working in a fastpaced environment supporting Flight Simulation hardware requiring technical skills in both hardware and electrical development as well as trouble shooting. In this role you will be supporting repairs and modifications to Boeing manufactured Lab equipment and Simulators.
Position Responsibilities:
Execute general fabrication and assembly tasks for flight simulation equipment.
Apply precision machining techniques for flight simulation equipment including layout drill press manual lathe and manual mill.
Program parts to be machined on a CNC Mill.
Maintain set up and run CNC mill to machine parts for lab equipment.
Collaborate closely with the engineering team to assess the machinability of prototypes assemblies and other components.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically and/or internationally depending on business needs.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.
An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance PostStart is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Certification and/or relevant work experience in machining technology.
3 years of experience operating a CNC Mill.
3 years of experience programming CNC.
Level 4: 4 years of work experience with a Bachelors degree OR 6 years of workrelated experience with an Associates OR 8 years of work related experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with 3D CAD programs (NX preferred).
Experience with NC programming (Mastercam preferred).
Experience with Tormach Path Pilot.
Proficiency in manual machining metrology and rapid prototyping
Typical Education/Experience:
Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 6 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor4 years related work experience 8 years related work experience etc.).
