NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB: Provide instruction and supervision in the weight training area and to follow the policies and
procedures of Campbell County School District.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Formulate goals/objectives and programs for each student who participates in the Weight Room Program.
- Assume responsibility for all students that are in the weight room.
- Keep accurate uptodate charts on all students who use the weight room.
- Promote the general health and welfare of each participant and give appropriate attention to injured and/or ill students under his/her supervision.
- Communicate with coaches to develop specific programs for each participant.
- Assume responsibility for the cleaning and maintenance of all weight machines and equipment.
- Develop and follow a regular maintenance schedule for all weight machines.
- Develop and enforce weight room conduct regulations in cooperation with the athletic director.
- Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding the progress and development of the Weight Program.
- Perform other duties or tasks related to the Weight Room Program as requested by the athletic director.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND MENTAL ABILITY:
- Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries course.
- Knowledge of CPR and First Aid.
- Have fundamental knowledge of the activity supervision.
- Ability to select from a variety of instruction methods to teach activity objectives.
EDUCATION LICENSE CERTIFICATION OR FORMAL TRAINING
- Possess all certificates required for the State of Wyoming.
EQUIPMENT USED:
- Dead weights
- Universal weight machine
- Various weight training machines (stationary bikes climbing machine etc.)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Able to lift 50 lbs and move it 50 feet.
- Ability to maintain visual contact with areas being used.
- Able to assist injured participants.
- Ability to move various pieces of training equipment.
ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Occupationally exposed to bloodborne pathogens and other potentially infectious materials based on task and procedures required.
- Ability to supervise in warm temperatures.
- Tolerate chalk dust.
- Tolerate noise and loud music.
