The Amazon Robotics (AR) Global Operations organization manufactures highquality robotics for design centers across Amazon. Its a fastpaced operation that works crossfunctionally with teams across Amazon globally. The Product Quality Engineering (PQE) team is a multidisciplinary organization that does Quality Engineering and Quality Systems Management across ARs Global Enterprise. This position will report to Quality Engineering Manager.
We are actively seeking a talented and motivated engineer with a proven track record of implementing Quality Engineering principles in NPI and sustaining products. You will be working with crossfunctional teams that engage in product development for both internal and external manufacturing operations.
Key job responsibilities
Actively foster a culture of inclusion.
* Engaging in internal and external business partners to deliver key artifacts such as (DFMEA PFMEA) DFX New Unique and Different (NUD) and MAP.
* Embed with Hardware Manufacturing and Test Engineers in defining success criteria for early production builds in new programs.
* Represent quality and report status and risk mitigation in NPI Program Reviews.
* Partner with peer teams such as Manufacturing Supply Chain Supplier Quality and Test Engineering to drive datadriven risk mitigation/strategy.
* Reporting in program reviews and toplevel quality performance reviews/dashboards.
Responsible for:
* Defining NPI quality deliverables and deliver in collaboration with stakeholders in Supply Chain Hardware Engineering Manufacturing Deployment and Global Support Services
* Participating in NPI phase gate reviews to ensure quality requirements are met
* Data analysis trending and monitoring of KPIs from manufacturing and field quality events.
* Defining APQP/PPAP strategies review and approve related documents (D/PFMEA Control plan FAI Process capability studies etc)
* Conducting failure analysis root cause investigations and implement corrective actions to improve product quality.
*Facilitate action plans to drive improvements across the product lifecycle
* Contribute to lessons learned and process improvements.
Up to 20% travel required.

Product Quality Engineerings (PQE)s mission is to drive product quality excellence through innovative engineering solutions leveraging proactive systems seamless design integration and datadriven methodologies to drive total quality management across the entire product lifecycle ensuring superior customer satisfaction.
* Ensuring speed and quality through comprehensive product knowledge systematic risk identification root cause analysis to enable successful deployments.
* Leverage data analytics to visualize quality metrics and drive customerfocused improvements
* Design for quality to consistently meet high manufacturing and deployment standards even in speeddriven environments.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence by implementing adaptive control plans across the product lifecycledriving safety quality speed and cost optimization.
Bachelors degree in mechanical electrical computer science or related engineering field.
5 years of experience in applying Quality Engineering principles like APQP PPAP DFX and FMEA in new product introduction.
Strong process improvement mindset for Agile environments passion for quality.
Excellent business communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders. Able to write clear and persuasive papers.
Able to operate in a highly ambiguous environment.
Advanced degree(s) in Engineering and/or Business/MBA
Technical expertise in Mechanical and Electrical components common in Robotics (i.e DC motors PCBAs metal fabrication gears/bearings sensors vision systems etc.)
Technical / Engineering Program Management Experience
Multiindustry and/or consulting experience in applicable industries (Automotive Aerospace Medical Device etc.). Startup experience is a plus.
Six Sigma Green belt
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
Familiar with ISO 9001 Quality Management System Standards
Experienced in statistical data analysis
