Whatyou will be doing:Youll be responsible fortreating and preventing minor injuries and illnesses. They will provide information and guidance for the promotion of good health and wellbeing of our students.

Essential functions:

1. Render first aid treatment and assist physician in treating serious accidents or illnesses.
2. Treat minor injuries and illness according to physician instructions and maintain student health records.
3. Cleanse and dress wounds operate emergency equipment and provide followup nursing care as required.
4. Prepare and administer specified medications and drugs and assist in developing programs to prevent or control diseases and accidents.
5. Perform routine lab tests in accordance with approved standards.
6. Monitor students restricted to the infirmary.
7. Assist in the management and coordination of pregnancy weight control tuberculosis smoking cessation and other programs as designated.
8. Triage assess chief complaints take vital signs do appropriate charting and assist with chart review duties and with patient care.
9. Assist physician or midlevel health care provider when needed.
10. Demonstrate appropriate professional behavior.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Certified licensed or accredited in the state of employment as Registered Nurse and oneyear nursing experience is required.
• Experience with youth.
• Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record required
