The pay range is $95000.00 $171000.00

As a Senior Engineer you serve as a specialist in the engineering team that supports the product. You help develop and gain insight in the application architecture. You can distill an abstract architecture into concrete design and influence the implementation. You show expertise in applying the appropriate software engineering patterns to build robust and scalable systems. You are an expert in programming and apply your skills in developing the product. You have the skills to design and implement the architecture on your own but choose to influence your fellow engineers by proposing software designs providing feedback on software designs and/or implementation. You show good problemsolving skills and can help the team in triaging operational issues. You leverage your expertise in eliminating repeat occurrences.

About this team:

The Target Owned Brands Spark Materials team is based out of Target North Campus and is focused on developing capabilities needed to develop own and manage product materials as part of the Owned Brands design process. The team also is responsible for managing solutions for colors and artwork and has integrations with several outside solutions. In 2025 the team is focused on two goals: connecting materials with product bill of materials (BOMs) and cobuilding a new Owned Brands Product Lifecycle Management Platform with five other product teams. This is an exciting opportunity for engineers to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Owned Brands and driving the growth of a $30 Billion business.

Use your skills experience and talents to be a part of groundbreaking thinking and visionary goals. As a Senior Engineer on the team you will leverage cuttingedge technologies to design and implement scalable robust and innovative solutions from the ground up. You will collaborate closely with engineers product managers business stakeholders and other crossfunctional teams to deliver highimpact solutions that align with the evolving needs of our business. In this role you will tackle complex challenges make critical architectural decisions and set the technical direction for the team. You are passionate about delivering highquality software balancing the speed of feature delivery with the robustness and maintainability of the solutions you design and implement. Your responsibilities will include contributing to research initiatives developing proofofconcept prototypes and conducting thorough code reviews. You will write organize and maintain highquality code that adheres to architectural and operational standards. Additionally you will participate in structured development processes including automation debugging and deployment ensuring best practices are consistently met. You will proactively resolve technical issues monitor system performance and capacity and provide guidance to the team on design and architectural decisions.

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Targets needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team members core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually depending upon what your role team and tasks require for that day.
