Assistant Controller Banking Industry Clear Growth Path to Controller
Were working with a respected financial institution thats looking for an Assistant Controller whos ready to grow into a Controller role in the near future. This is a highimpact position designed for someone who is both technically strong and operationally curioussomeone who can think strategically and continuously look for ways to improve processes. This is a great role for someone with a financial services background or a CPA looking to make the move from public accounting. In this role youll support the Controller with core accounting operations financial reporting and regulatory compliance. Youll also be directly involved in leading or contributing to process improvement initiatives and systems optimization. This is a lean collaborative environment where you wont just sit behind the numbersyoull be part of the conversation about how to do things better.
- Lead or support timely monthend and yearend close processes including journal entries accruals and reconciliations
- Support ERP/financial system implementations or upgrades; leverage Excel and automation tools for reporting and analysis
- Coordinate with external auditors; prepare schedules and documentation for audits
- Support and mentor junior staff or accountants as needed act as secondincommand to the Controller.
