Job Description

Responsibilities

Collect parking revenue from parking meters and pay stations from assigned collection routes report any meter malfunctions and any other safety related items.

  • Collect parking revenue from all assigned parking meters and pay stations utilizing specialized keys and canisters to properly secure and deposit the monies retrieved
  • Report any and all meter malfunctions through the provided reporting device during the collection process
  • Use and comprehend assigned collection route maps to efficiently collect all parking revenue from the parking meters and pay stations
  • Securely load and unload specialized canister vaults used during the revenue collection process
  • Work outside to perform duties regardless of weather conditions (e.g. rainy hot humid snowy etc.)

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older at time of hire
  • Knowledge of geography of the area where revenue will be collected
  • Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions
  • Ability to use a handheld android based reporting device
  • Ability to interact with others in a courteous and tactful manner
  • Ability to walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Must be safety conscious at all times as employees will be expected to work in and around potentially dangerous traffic situations

Availability to Work:Special shift requirements if any will vary depending on a locations hiring needs. If applicable availability to work 2nd shift 3rd shift holidays and/or weekends may be required.

License Requirement: The individual will be required to have and maintain a valid stateissued drivers license with a current address and acceptable driving record.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk for extended periods of time; use hands to finger handle or feel; talk and listen. The employee is required to work outside in varying and harsh weather conditions (cold rainy snowy harsh hot humid).

Salary Range: $19.50 per hour
