The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Supply Chain Manager (Level K) to support the E7 Supplier Performance Team in Oklahoma City OK.
Manage lead and grow a team of 10 Mission Systems E7 Supplier Performance employees. The team consists of Supplier Program Managers Supply Base Managers and Analysts with personnel located in Oklahoma City Seattle and virtual. The ideal candidate will have the ability to motivate and lead this team to ensure system design and development part build and delivery as well as product sustainment for the supply base associated with the E7 platform. Setting the right expectations and building the optimal team are the basic needs to make this position successful.
Position Responsibilities:
- Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplierrelated activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.
- Manages employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations supplier assessment and performance improvement management and improvement of supply chain management and processes and supplier diversity.
- Develops and executes project and process plans implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
- Acquires resources for projects and processes provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes.
- Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools.
- Manages develops and motivates employees.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance PostStart is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 5 years of experience working with Supplier Management Supply Chain Procurement and/or strategic sourcing practices and processes
- 3 years of experience establishing relationships and maintaining strong ongoing communication with customers suppliers and/or vendors
- Experience leading a team or program.
- Experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelors Degree or higher
- 3 years of experience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations).
- Experience in proposal development contract negotiations and/or contract execution with U.S. Government Customers
- 3 years of experience leading or managing projects that involved crossfunctional or crossbusiness unit teams.
- 3 years of experience as the key point of contact for managing supplier performance against contractual agreements
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
Travel: Capable of traveling up to 30% of the time
