Job Description

The Vice President of Payer Sales reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer is a strategic and resultsdriven leader and executer of our valuebased care expansion strategy. This role will be responsible for driving growth through strategic partnerships with health plans atrisk primary care provider groups and other key stakeholders in the valuebased care ecosystem.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of bringing riskbased health plan deals from start to finish. Deep health plan and healthcare expertise as well as multistakeholder management are required for this role.

What Youll Do:

  • Essential Functions:
    • Identify develop and close highimpact growth opportunities with health plans and atrisk PCP groups
    • Drive endtoend deal development including partnering with the executive team on financial modeling due diligence contract negotiation and onboarding
    • Evaluate and structure shared savings capitation and fullrisk arrangements with providers and payers
    • Evaluate and evolve gotomarket strategies for existing health plan market approach as well as entering new markets
    • Collaborate with leadership and operations to ensure alignment between growth strategy and execution
    • Monitor market dynamics policy changes and competitor activities to inform strategy
    • Act as a thought leader both internally and externally around valuebased care
    • Partner with Finance Clinical Legal and Operations teams to design deal structures that balance risk compliance and growth
    • Serve as the internal expert on VBC market trends and regulatory frameworks
    • Build and manage a robust pipeline of payer and provider opportunities
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with executives at health plans and provider organizations

Who You Are:

  • Required:
    • 10 years of experience in healthcare growth strategy or business development roles with a strong focus on payer sales valuebased care digital health or MSK healthcare

    • Deep understanding of alternative payment models including MSSP MA risk ACO REACH capitation and upside/downside risk

    • Experience negotiating complex deals with health plans and atrisk PCPs including direct contracting delegated models and shared savings programs

    • Strong network within the payer and provider ecosystem

    • Exceptional communication negotiation and executive presence

    • Strategic thinker with analytical rigor and operational followthrough

    • Bachelors degree required

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Excellent sales and customer service skills

    • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills

    • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate

    • Ability to function well in a highpaced and at times stressful environment

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

  • NicetoHaves:
    • MBA MHA MPH or related advanced degree preferred
