Associate Payroll Tax Analyst

Join The Boeing Companys prestigious Global Finance Service team as an Associate Payroll Tax Analyst. With locations in Seattle Washington or Renton Washington youll have the chance to work alongside industry leaders and make a real impact.

As an Associate Payroll Tax Analyst youll play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with tax regulations at the local state and federal levels. Youll handle tasks such as retrieving compiling and reconciling data for audits as well as managing Federal state local and property tax reporting. Additionally youll stay current with the latest changes in tax laws and regulations keeping our company ahead of the curve.

Your expertise will be invaluable in assisting with internal and external audits related to payroll taxes. Collaborating closely with Human Resources finance and other departments youll ensure seamless alignment on payroll tax matters. Furthermore youll have the opportunity to provide guidance and training to stakeholders on payroll tax compliance requirements and procedures.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Process and reconcile payroll tax payments accurately and in a timely manner
  • Prepare and file Federal state and local payroll tax returns on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Respond to inquiries from tax agencies and resolve any payroll taxrelated issues or discrepancies
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations including changes in tax rates and filing requirements
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as the payroll team and finance department to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with payroll tax obligations
  • Investigate and resolve payroll taxrelated inquiries or discrepancies

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring teams discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree or higher in accounting finance business administration or a related field
  • Experience in payroll tax or similar related areas

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience creating and analyzing data and metrics through the use of Human Resources systems (HRMS PeopleSoft Taleo etc.)
  • Prior Experience with Peoplesoft Human Capital Management (HCM) and Payroll
  • Possess an accounting degree or certification such as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) and/or a higher education certificate in accounting from an accredited 4 year school
  • Experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas VLookups pivot tables charts filters and linking worksheets
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fastpaced environment
