Job Description

 

The Senior Tax Analyst reporting to the Mexico Tax Manager will be responsible for supporting tax compliance activities. This position deals with a variety of GBS and Finance personnel as well as external auditors. The Senior Tax Analyst is responsible for overall Tax Compliance for all the Legal entities within the Conectiv Groupe in Mexico.

Responsibilities
Keep abreast of all the changes in the Tax legislation and advice on the Tax Strategy for the group as a result of the changes in the Legislation;
Assist Tax Manager on guidance to GBS;
Be responsible for Tax File Control including: CUCA CUFIN ISR Electronic Accounting attending SAT and financial requirements;
Ensure the determination of loss or gain on sale of A. Fixed PTU VAT payable VAT refunds;
Review all the documentation support for a VAT Tax refund requested for SAT;
Prepare federal and local corporate income tax returns and supporting workpapers;
Assist with the preparation of the companys income tax provision including the reconciliation of deferred tax tax payable and reserve accounts;
Manage to have timely and accurate filing of all relevant Annual & Quarterly Tax Returns and Reports;
Ensure the correct computation of tax accruals for monthly and annual financial reporting (actual annual budget and forecast) ensuring correct tax reporting for both local financials as well as corporate reporting working closely with the GBS and LEC;
Provide support in the implementation of new systems according lay-out modifications in Tax legislation including graphic scanning systems;
Manage timely payment of all Tax Liabilities;
Track and Prepare Deferred Tax (ISR) Calculation and Computation;
Maintain the Custody of all Accounting records as prescribed under the Income Tax & Service Tax legislation;
Deal with federal and state income tax audits when necessary. This may include compiling necessary documentation reports or analytics and other activities as required;
Keep Accounting System up to date & ensure the correctness of transactions involving Tax implications;
Follow tax reserves and approving these with Tax Manager and LATAM Tax Head;
Support Mexico Tax Manager on Transfer pricing issues/requests;
Assist with other International Federal and State Income Tax issues/projects as assigned;
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by management


Qualifications :

Academic and Training Requirements
Formal Education

CPA degree. Bachelors degree in accounting or similar
Work Experience
From 5 to 6 years in similar positions out of the company. Preferably in multinational or regional companies. Former Bigfour employee is plus.

Languages
Advanced-Intermediate English (preferably)

Process specific knowledge

Accounting
Corporate Taxation
VAT Tax
Other indirect taxes (preferable)
Economics and Accounting
Knowledge of Law (preferable)
