Salary $18.0019.00/hour
Under the administrative supervision of the Director of Operations the position is responsible for the general maintenance and repair of building structures and systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with relevant administrative personnel to prioritize the planning and organization of work and repair orders through regular weekly meetings ensuring efficient workflow and communication.
Maintain an oncall status via pager during evenings and weekends to address emergency repair needs promptly and effectively.
Execute a range of maintenance and repair tasks as authorized by the supervisor utilizing the established Work/Repair Order system which includes site preparation and cleanup purchasing necessary materials and supplies and performing tasks such as spackling and painting.
Conduct repairs and replacements of plumbing and electrical fixtures including switches fire extinguishers smoke detectors locks doorknobs grab bars and various furnishings ensuring all installations meet safety standards.
Repair damaged elements such as window panes woodwork furniture flooring stairs and railings contributing to the overall upkeep and safety of the facilities.
Oversee the maintenance of agencyowned mechanical and electrical tools and equipment providing recommendations for repairs or replacements as needed to ensure optimal functionality.
Carry out regular physical assessments of the site to identify maintenance needs and make informed recommendations for repairs or necessary purchases.
Collaborate with external contractors engaged by the agency to facilitate efficient operations in the maintenance construction and repair of all physical structures and systems.
Organize and coordinate service schedules for the vehicle fleet to guarantee timely completion of routine maintenance and repairs minimizing downtime.
Perform custodial duties as required including snow and ice removal from walkways during adverse weather responding to cleaning emergencies changing ventilation and air conditioning filters replacing ceiling tiles and relocating furniture and equipment as necessary.
