Job Description
Purpose and role of job:
Responsible for focusing on the practical handson aspects of equipment maintenance repair and improvement often involving physical labor and technical skills.
Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions and ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.
- Identify and resolve technical issues with equipment.
- Repair mechanical components of all equipment as required; in some instances performing physically demanding tasks.
- Operate and maintain various types of machinery tools and equipment used in the manufacturing process.
- Identify design and process limitations and develop and implement solutions.
- Fabricate and assemble parts made for projects machine upgrades or emergency breakdowns.
- Design small retrofit assemblies to improve production equipment.
- Observe all safety rules and use the proper safety equipment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Follow necessary GMP FDA and ISO regulations.
- Additional duties as required.
Education and experience requirements:
- High School Diploma required.
- Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge of all machinery equipment and components.
- Operational knowledge of manufacturing processes including ultrasonics hot melt adhesive system core formation and web handling preferred.
- Experience with 3D modeling software specifically Autodesk Inventor preferred.
- Proficient in MS Word Excel Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Detail Oriented.
- Proficient with hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to work in a teamoriented environment.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
