About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Lawyer to lead our efforts in managing and resolving negative online reviews and defamatory content on social media. This role is critical to protecting our brands reputation and ensuring legal compliance in all our digital interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead legal strategy for addressing and removing defamatory or harmful online content.
- Draft review and send legal notices ceaseanddesist letters and takedown requests.
- Represent the company in communications with online platforms and if necessary in legal proceedings.
- Advise management on risk mitigation and best practices for online reputation management.
- Oversee and mentor junior legal staff and interns.
- Monitor changes in digital media law and platform policies.
Requirements
- Law degree and active license to practice law.
- Minimum 5 years experience in defamation media or internet law.
- Proven track record in online reputation management or similar cases.
- Strong negotiation research and advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
