Job Description
We are looking to hire an experienced Maintenance and Engineering leader to join the Sydney team!
The Maintenance and Engineering Manager is the line manager for a team of up to 14 including Maintenance Supervisors and Technicians (fitters and electricians). They maintain the focus on safety by training developing and coaching their team. They deliver a high level of equipment availability by ensuring all preventative maintenance is conducted and internal processes and procedures are followed.

Key job responsibilities
Lead support and mentor the maintenance team ensuring site operations are maintained in a safe standard and efficient manner.
Work with the team and the wider network to harness the technical expertise available and build solutions.
Support the Senior Maintenance and Engineering Manager as they work with the Site Safety department & Site Leadership to implement record and audit safety and statutory compliance programs to provide a safe working environment for all staff.
Implement network standards and focus on preventative maintenance to provide a high level of equipment availability to our internal customers.
Ensure sufficient technical coverage is available for the shifts by organising and directing the training program for the team.
Manage local projects or support Australia wide projects as assigned by the Senior Maintenance and Engineering Manager.
A day in the life
After safety the most important part of the role is leading your team and managing their performance and development including organising additional training.
Youll be based at our Moorebank Fulfilment Centre which will allow you to give practical guidance to your team and get a clear vision of whats happening at your site. This involves collecting data and solving problems in a fastpaced environment. Youll also have a chance to create an operational plan to make the site more productive and efficient. That will involve setting up new projects that improve everything from operational processes to equipment maintenance.
Demonstrated leadership experience in a dynamic fastpaced environment.
Experience delivering leadership to a team of 10 direct reports with an emphasis on growth and development and team member engagement.
Experience in liaising and managing relationships between a variety of stakeholders including thirdparty vendors.
Formal trade qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a degree in a technical discipline (Industrial Electrical Mechanical Civil).
Experience of automated equipment including packaging machinery sortation and conveyor systems.

Experience of working with statutory regulations such as compliance checks and machine safety protocols
Experience of using data analysis tools and PLCbased control systems
Experience with project management or Kaizen Lean Six Sigma processes
Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
