TEGNA KHOUTV seeks an IT Specialist. The position is responsible for the integration maintenance operation and support of broadcast and business information technology systems and reports to the Supervisor of Technology & Operations. The position will support broadcastcentric software and hardware as well as traditional desktop and file and print services.

Responsibilities:
Support daytoday operations of broadcast information technology systems software and equipment. Maintain upgrade and support broadcast technology.
Troubleshoot and repair computer hardware software and peripherals including servers storage PCs and PC applications LAN cabling system security and virus protection.
Manage the help desk including reviewing prioritizing assigning and scheduling tickets.
Assist in developing work plans and procedures to ensure projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Configure ports and perform upgrades on core switches.
Oversee and maintain Windows Operating Systems Active Directory Group Policy Bomgar and Service Now Ticketing in a complex LAN and WAN computing environment. Other systems include but are not limited to RingCentral Nutanix ENPS WO Traffic Bitcentral and Cisco switches.
Support network security access rights naming standards scripts and software upgrades.
Create and maintain wiring documentation and system configuration documentation including inventory of all computer equipment and network software versions.
Maintain knowledge and stay current on technological advances including computer software and hardware media and entertainment technologies and workstation products.
Willing to train on IT and Broadcast system operation and maintenance to service all aspects of the operation.
Responsible for IT security compliance including but not limited to disaster contingency patching management for software and operating system updates and IT equipment inventory administration.
Work closely with the Technology and Operations Sales and News departments and with corporate IT support.
Effectively and clearly communicate the status of problems provide updates to progress on projects and offer solutions to technical issues.
Liaise with third party vendors (e.g. equipment vendors and software providers) during issue resolution and new platform evaluations
Be available to work various hours and days including weekends overnights and holidays.

Requirements:
Computer Science or IT related degree or equivalent education and experience
Minimum of 3 years experience in IT support or broadcast engineering.
Certification in relevant IT or broadcast systems (e.g. CompTIA Cisco or similar) is a plus.
Solid understanding of current computer hardware network technologies and Microsofts Active Directory environment
Great customer service and organization skills.
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with nontechnical end users.
Have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. climb ladders and work on elevated surfaces pull and install wiring use hand and power tools work on small components and perform other physical tasks.
Travel: Rarely: less than 10%
Work Environment Set: Office: normally performed in a typical interior/office environment
