JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
The Housing Inspector performs the required Housing and Urban Development (HUD) inspections on all residences utilized including Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH) Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) and Office of Community Development (OCD).
Essential functions:
- Inspects multifamily and singlefamily residences under HUD guidelines to determine feasibility for occupancy
- Inspects the physical conditions and structures of individual properties and units
- Completes all required paperwork related to inspections for the review/approval of supervisor Investigates assigned noncompliance complaints
- Communicates and assists landlords/owners as needed
Supervisory responsibilities:
- N/A
Work environment
- Mostly indoors with the exception of traveling to residents dwellings
- Frequent interactions with residents and landlords
Physical demands
- Mobility and flexibility to walk bend kneel lift and reach to perform above duties as stated
Travel required
- Must poses a valid drivers license
- Travel required
