The Senior Procurement Specialist is responsible for planning forecasting logistics purchasing and releasing of commodity construction materials electrical equipment lighting and supplies as assigned. The Senior Procurement Specialist provides leadership training and management as assigned.
Prepares and distributes complex and technical bid invitations or requests for proposal including logistics warehousing kitting and cutting and packaging requirements as required; receives analyzes and recommends approval of bids most advantageous to Rosendin.
Processes difficult and unique purchasing transactions according to state laws federal statutes policies and procedures established by Rosendin.
Assists departments with specification development drafts RFP.
Reviews analyzes and approves all purchases where award is not made to the low bidder to ensure justification exists and policy is followed. Reviews analyzes researches and approves purchases of a noncompetitive nature.
Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel users vendors and others to determine source of deficiency and take corrective action.

Thorough knowledge of electrical equipment and construction materials
Working knowledge of procurement techniques procedures policies and accounting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Must exhibit supervisory skills
Work independently with minimum supervision
Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook Word Excel etc.); Oracle
Prioritize and manage multiple tasks changing priorities as necessary
Work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
Oral and written communication skills as required for the position
Selfmotivated proactive and an effective team player
Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees both management and staff alike vendors clients and others
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Management of related discipline
Minimum 5 years electrical construction purchasing experience
Combination of education training and relevant experience

General work environment sitting for long periods standing walking typing carrying pushing bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning
Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.
