Federal Work Study Student Marketing & Social Media Assistant
This position is open to all students eligible to work on campus and have a valid Federal WorkStudy (FWS) permit. Students must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. The University of Florida Dean of Students Office (DSO) is seeking a Federal Work Study Outreach & Marketing student assistant for a parttime marketing and social media position. The student assistant will report to the Assistant Director Outreach and Strategic Initiatives and in collaboration with the DSO units and Outreach and Marketing student assistants help to develop and manage the campaigns content and graphics for the DSOs social media and other media channel modalities.
The ideal candidate is highly motivated comfortable with tight deadlines research information for posts and projects independently works on multiple campaigns at once and brainstorms content ideas independently and in collaboration with the various areas within the department. The candidate must also be a creative problemsolver wellorganized and strong communicator.
Potential projects include but are not limited to:
1. Writing and editing social media posts focused on students students families faculty staff and alumni.
2. Creating graphics for the departments social media channels digital signage and websites.
3. Photographing and recording Department events and creating reels or other social media content.
4. Interviewing subjects for social posts or videos where needed.
5. Collaborating with the DSO and campus partners to facilitate and enhance social media campaigns.
6. Monitoring and evaluating social media channels for impressions and assessing messaging impact and effectiveness.
7. Assisting with overall marketing initiatives.
Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and students must adhere to an agreedupon schedule that does not conflict with their course schedule. This position is only open to enrolled students. A minimum stay is one semester 810 hours weekly but longer stays are available and encouraged.
$14.00/Hr.
