This position is a key driver of datadriven strategy across Modernas global mRNA pipeline. Acting as a central analytics expert you will transform complex clinical and operational data into actionable insights enabling teams to make informed highimpact decisions. The role focuses on portfoliolevel visibility and process optimization supporting the development and delivery of both vaccines and therapeutics.

As an individual contributor you will work crossfunctionally with scientific operational and program teams playing a vital role in supporting the success of Modernas pipeline through advanced reporting platform development and strategic data analysis. This is a unique opportunity to shape critical decisions through data and get closer to the evolving frontier of Generative AI in biotech analytics.

Heres What Youll Do

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Deliver advanced analytics and portfoliolevel insights to drive decisionmaking across clinical studies projects and programs

  • Develop and maintain scalable automated dashboards and reporting infrastructure

  • Analyze complex datasets perform data mapping and ensure data integrity across platforms

  • Leverage cloud computing tools and project management systems (e.g. Smartsheet MS Project) to support operational planning

  • Manage access controls and platform permissions while monitoring usage analytics

  • Ensure accuracy and reliability in reporting logic filters and KPI metrics

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Collaborate with crossfunctional partners to align on data needs and reporting expectations

  • Use visualization tools such as Tableau Prep Spotfire or Shiny to translate data into intuitive visual outputs

  • Support the organizations data governance efforts through continuous optimization of data flows

  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance data delivery processes

  • Support Modernas digital strategy by aligning analytics with emerging technologies including Generative AI

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Heres What Youll Need (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelors degree in life and/or computer science disciplines

  • 4 years of experience in data or analytics roles preferably within biopharma or consulting

  • Proficiency in data wrangling modeling and pipeline design

  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools

  • Experience with project planning tools such as Smartsheet or MS Project

  • Familiarity with reporting platforms and scalable dashboard creation

  • Ability to manage complex databases and use cloud computing solutions

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and nontechnical audiences

  • Excellent communication skills to present complex data insights to senior stakeholders

  • Versatility and creativity in solving problems using EQ and IQ

  • Experience facilitating crossfunctional workshops and highimpact projects

  • Experience translating business needs into technical solutions and supporting vendor selection processes

  • Proficiency in maintaining documentation and planning tools like Smartsheet

  • Experience using automation to enhance efficiency

  • Adaptability to operate in a fastpaced evolving environment

  • Familiarity with change management initiatives including training and communications

  • Commitment to learning the scientific foundations of Modernas platform and biotech development

  • Proactive collaborative mindset aligned with Modernas mission

  • Experience building models from Excel to advanced AI techniques

  • Ability to code in Python R or SQL
