Job Description
Title:
Piping Material EngineerResponsibilities of Material Engineer:
1 Preparation of Piping Material index Piping Material classes for Process & Utilities.
2 Preparation of Valve datasheets and Piping Specialty items datasheets.
3 Writing Technical / Purchase specifications for Bulks Valves etc.
4 Hands on experience in handling metallic piping like Carbon / Stainless Steel /Duplex / Super Duplex Stainless Steels & Low Alloy Steel and nonmetallic piping systems such as GRE GRP FRP HDPE etc.
5 Design calculations like Pipe wall thickness under internal pressures for full/partial vacuum conditions Branch Reinforcement Pads Bends Spectacle Blinds (Spade/Spacer) etc.
6 Thorough knowledge of International Codes & Standards SHELL Saudi Aramco Standards & Specifications etc.
7 Preparation of Technical / Material Requisitions for Piping bulks/Valves/Specialties.
8 Technical Bid Evaluation involving discussions / clarifications with Vendors.
9 Vendor documents & drawings reviews and approval.
10. Expertise in any Material Management software.
11. Good communications skills & ability to coordinate with various disciplines across different centers vendors etc.
Preferred Qualification & Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical
Years of Experience:
Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a minimum of 10 years related experience with average experience ranging from 10 years to maximum 16 years
