POSITION SUMMARY
In accordance with established procedures standards and guidelines the incumbent is responsible for the infield delivery and handling of Home Terminal Devices Oracle stock and Accessories to Technicians. The incumbent will help maintain a clean delivery vehicle and warehouse space and assist with inventory tasks as required. Additionally they will assist techs in the field with Road Crossings and/or other support for safety purposes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Delivers HTD Oracle and Accessory equipment to technicians in the field where there is no dedicated stick delivery coordinator
2. Receives HTD collateral and accessories from Distribution Centre
3. Responsible for order management of HTD
4. Receiving HTD equipment returned to the Work Centre by Contractors and technicians and responsible for packaging/arranging for shipment of HTD units to the central facility as per established procedures 5. Issues HTD equipment to technicians and/or contractors as per established procedures.
6. Ensures that all HTD equipment at the work center is securely stored as per established procedures.
7. Shipping and receiving for other departments in the same building(s) as required
8. Minor facility maintenance (Salting or shoveling by main entrances if needed)
9. Assists in performing physical counts of HTD units as required and prepares associated summary reports.
10. Maintains HTD and HTD storage area assigned in a neat and orderly fashion.
11. Completes receiving and shipping of other goods as per local procedures.
12. Assists in maintaining fleet ( arranging service pickups for onsite vehicles and preparing endoflife vehicles for pickup)
13. Installation/removal of vehicle tracking equipment and leakage equipment
14. Assist with the delivery of tech HTD. (this is for areas that do not have a dedicated Stock Delivery Coordinator ie Sarnia)
15. Assists field technicians with road crossings and/or other infield support as required
16. Assist with PPE inspections and training.
17. As part of their work employees must take all necessary measures to ensure their own health & safety and that of their coworkers and the public in general. They must use available personal protective equipment at all times and comply with all Health & Safety instructions guidelines policies and procedures issued by the Company.
18. To support Cogecos ultimate goal of providing excellent service to current and potential customers the incumbent must be constantly attentive and responsive to both external and internal customers needs and assist in the resolution of any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner while ensuring that the solution meets the customers needs.
19. Performs other duties and projects as required.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS ACADEMIC TRAINING
High school diploma required.
Postsecondary education preferred WORK EXPERIENCE
13 years experience in a similar role is preferred. SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Basic knowledge of electronics and inventory procedures.
Must have previous experience working PCs and demonstrated navigation abilities within a Windows environment. Working knowledge of MS Office applications required (i.e. Word/Excel/Outlook).
Demonstrated interpersonal skills with a winning customer service attitude
Complete understanding of Logistics and Supply Chain procedures.
Selfmotivated with the ability to take initiative and resolve problems independently. Monitors own quality of work.
Open to change with a learning attitude towards work and to contribute to teams.
A general understanding of broadband telecom cable and internet industries is an asset.
Flexibility required concerning hours of work as business needs change
Valid Ontario drivers license and eligibility to drive Cogeco vehicles is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND VISUAL ACUITY
The incumbent is required to lift carry and move heavy boxes (min. 40 lbs) and assist in unloading trucks.
