SUMMARY:
The position of Office Technician is for the purpose(s) of providing clerical support to assigned personnel and the building staff to which the Technician is assigned; communicating information to staff the public and other districts; and providing complete and accurate documentation and audit trail; and providing information and/or direction as may be requested.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
SKILLS KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Skills are required to perform single nontechnical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operating standard office equipment.
Knowledge is required to perform basic math; read and follow instructions; and understand oral and written instructions. Specific knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job includes: various positionspecific information learned onthejob.
Ability is required to schedule activities; collate data; and use basic jobrelated equipment. Flexibility is required to independently work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing specific defined processes; and operate equipment using defined methods. Ability is also required to work with a wide diversity of individuals; work with specific jobrelated data; and utilize specific jobrelated equipment. In working with others problem solving is required to identify issues and create action plans. Problem solving with data requires following prescribed guidelines; and problem solving with equipment is limited. Specific abilities required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: being attentive to detail; communicating with diverse groups; and working under time constraints.
RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods; providing information and/or advising others; and operating within a defined budget. Utilization of some resources from other work units may be required to perform the jobs functions. There is a continual opportunity to impact the Organizations services.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following physical demands: some lifting carrying pushing and/or pulling; and some finefinger dexterity. Generally the job requires 90% sitting 5% walking and 5% standing. The job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
