The Daniels College of Business (DCB) one of the largest colleges within the University of Denver is home to approximately 1600 undergraduate and 650 graduate students 120 faculty and 100 staff. It offers a variety of graduate degree programs including a fulltime Master of Business Administration (Denver MBA); Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA); a parttime Professional Master of Business Administration (PMBA); an online Master of Business Administration (); and Masters of Science degrees in Accountancy Management Applied Quantitative Finance Business Analytics Real Estate and the Built Environment and Marketing as well as nondegree Executive Education and professional development programs. DCB currently enrolls undergraduate students in nine majors: Accountancy Business Analytics Finance General Business Hospitality Management International Business Management Marketing and Real Estate and the Built Environment.
With a twopronged focus on career coaching (for both graduate and undergraduate students) and employer relations Daniels Career Services operates under a Collegewide crossfunctional support model in collaboration and alignment with Graduate Student Services Office of Graduate Admissions Office of Communications and Marketing Executive Education Experiential Education and External Relations.

The Assistant Professor of the Practice will have responsibility for teaching and service. We are open to applicants with a variety of perspectives and teaching interests. We have a preference for candidates interested in taxation managerial accounting or accounting information systems.
The Assistant Professor of the Practice will be expected to teach courses during the academic year which may include fall winter and/or spring quarters. Teaching responsibilities include both undergraduate and graduate level courses using traditional hybrid and online delivery methods. Teaching responsibilities may involve day night and weekend classes. The Universitys academic calendars are posted on the registrars website. The Assistant Professor of the Practice is expected to participate in the academic life of the School of Accountancy and the Daniels College of Business.
Essential Functions
Teaching: The Assistant Professor of the Practice will be expected to teach eight courses throughout the academic year which may include fall winter and spring quarters. DU follows the quarter system with three 10week long academic terms in fall (early Septemberlate November) winter (Januarymid March) and spring (late Marchfirst week of June). There may also be opportunities to teach during the nineweek summer quarter.
Service: The Assistant Professor of the Practice will be expected to participate in the academic life of the School of Accountancy and the Daniels College of Business. This includes but it is not limited to attendance at faculty meetings and participation in assurance of learning and curriculum development. Significant involvement with students is expected of all faculty members. A primary function of faculty members in the Professor of the Practice Series is to provide students with connections to the professional fields the students will be entering.

Work Schedule
While the Universitys administrative offices are open Monday Friday 8:00 am 4:30 pm faculty schedules vary from term to term and are based on courses taught service commitments and research agendas. The Universitys academic calendars are posted on the registrars website.

The salary grade for the position is UC.
Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $110000 $120000.
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate departmental budget availability internal salary equity considerations and available market information but not based on a candidates sex or any other protected status.
