Job Description

Summary

Public Health Seattle & King Countys Community Based Oral Health Program is seeking a Dental Clinic Patient Services Representative (Administrative Specialist II) to join our dynamic team and work alongside Dental Hygienists and Dental Assistants in a variety community and school settings and in dental clinics. This fulltime Career Service position will work 9 months (school year) in the Oral Health Field Program based at Eastgate Public Health Center which provides communitybased services primarily in schools. For the other 3 months (Summer) the position will work out of the float pool as an ASII for Community Health Services dental clinics throughout King County. Float Pool assignments are made based on business needs. The position is expected to be able to travel to all of the five dental clinics.

Required:

Desired:
  • Fluent in both Spanish and English
  • Experience in a public/community health center or clinic setting desired.
  • Experience with using EPIC/WISDOM patient management software systems to register check in check out collect payments and schedule clients.
  • Experience in doing outreach to the BIPOC (Black Indigenous People of Color) for various health benefit programs.
  • Skill in working as an effective team member.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid billing requirements.

Necessary Special Requirements

Work Schedule

This position is fulltime at 40 hours per week (1.0 FTE). The work schedule varies slightly based on oral health/school schedule and the dental clinics. Standard oral health program hours are Monday through Friday 7am 4p. (This may vary per school district and is subject to change to accommodate operational needs) Evening weekend work and driving is required for this position. Workdays and hours will be determined at time of hire. This may vary based on program operational needs. Standard dental clinic hours are Monday through Friday 8am 5pm.

Work Location

This position will be based out of Eastgate Public Health Center 14350 SE Eastgate Way Bellevue Washington. This position will require travel throughout King County multiple times a week.

Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
