Job Title: Strategic Pricing Manager

Operating Company: Environmental Solutions

Location: Chattanooga TN or Fort Payne AL

Reports to: Director Parts Operations

Department: Operations

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Strategic Pricing Manager is responsible for developing implementing and managing strategic pricing programs to deliver profitable growth through pricing. Position will lead the development and implementation of pricing strategies pricing analytics customer and product segmentation price management and pricing maintenance.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

  • Development of pricing programs to maximize profitability across revenue base.
  • Development of comprehensive strategic and financial plans for pricing including segmentation schemas annual price plans valuebased pricing approaches and corrective action plans.
  • Development of meaningful market analytics that foster strategic thinking regarding the most significant sales and margin growth opportunities relative to industry and competitive trends.
  • Conversion of pricing theory and strategy into strong business plans and subsequent execution of dailynegotiated prices and list prices.
  • Engaging marketing leaders on assessing product portfolio and setting prices.
  • Consulting leadership of marketing teams on new product pricing product price positioning and forecasting.
  • Partnering with financial and business leaders to assist with robust business planning forecasting and price realization.
  • Facilitating proper field communication and adoption of strategic pricing and valuebased pricing methods. Creation and implementation of strategic pricing communications.
  • Providing leadership to crossfunctional teams and product development teams on pricing related initiatives.
  • Directing the development of fiscal and quarterly period pricing plans that provide proactive organizational visibility to key pricing decisions and initiatives.
  • Creating and implement pricing analyses for senior leadership review and pricing strategy evolution.
  • Driving continuous improvement in price management across revenue base.
  • Minimal travel is required up to 10%.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance Economics Marketing Business Administration or similar discipline is required; an advanced degree (MBA) is preferred.
  • A minimum 5 years with progressive responsibility in marketing finance or business.
  • A minimum of 13 years of experience in strategic pricing role.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong pricing acumen; including financial modeling pricing analytics price measurement and pricing optimization.
  • Ability to demonstrate commercial savvy. Prior experience in customer facing role preferred.
  • Strong overall financial acumen. Ability to demonstrate understanding of relationships between pricing and corporate objectives.
  • Strategic thinking with ability to effectively and persuasively communicate new ideas to organization.
  • Experienced in managing complex integrated projects across multiple disciplines and various levels within and outside of the organization preferred.
  • Proficient with PC including Word Excel PowerPoint and use of Microsoft Access and/or Business Intelligence Tools for Strategic Pricing.

Continual Improvement and Problem Resolution: Identifies and communicates suggestions for work improvements. Uses technical and analytical abilities to assure existing work practices are the most efficient and cost effective possible. Performs rootcause analysis and implements viable permanent solutions to problems. Works with both internal and external customers to develop solutions which meet companywide needs and objectives. Applies a sense of urgency to resolve problems or creates opportunities that will increase productivity and create value. Shares best practices with other employees across the business.

Accountability: Accepts responsibility and accessibility for both the strategic planning and the successful implementation of all projects programs and duties as outlined in this job description. Advises supervisor of concerns problems and progress of work in a timely manner.
