A growing team of boardcertified Veterinary Pathologists as well as highly qualified Laboratory Technicians are employed in support of our unified international commitment to quality scientific integrity and client satisfaction.
StageBio is seeking a fulltime Laboratory Technician to join our Frederick Maryland facility.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Individuals will be trained to perform tissue grossing processing embedding microtomy staining (H&E & special staining) quality control and general histology duties
- Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety and chemical regulations as outlined in StageBios SOPs
- Prompt and accurate recording of data
- Daily cleaning of work area and equipment
- Other duties assigned by management
Requirements:
- Ability to learn multiple tasks within the field of histology
- Ability and willingness to meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment
- Must be capable of understanding FDA regulations Good Laboratory Practices and StageBios SOPs
- Be very detailoriented with both routine lab tasks and paperwork
- Be an effective communicator both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Education:
High school diploma required
College degree preferred or 3 years experience in histology / pathology lab
