Job Description
Must be a current UNF student. Communicate effectively with staff and public in writing or verbally. CPR & First Aid Certified (can be accomplished within first 60 days of work Health Promotion offers this for free). Comfortable in nature and enjoys sharing the natural world with others. A sense of humor & willingness to adapt; be selfmotivated and hard working.
Preferred Qualifications
Have organic lawn care experience and organic farming experience at both mechanized/field production scale and/or hand/garden scale and experience with appropriate tools. Have a commitment to and enjoyment of working with students. Work well in a collaborative and team environment. Have a positive enthusiastic and supportive attitude. Have building maintenance and general handyperson skills. Have knowledge of and interest in human nutrition. Enjoy preparing and eating fresh fruits herbs and vegetables. Computer knowledge and experience (Microsoft Office Adobe Publisher Facebook etc.). Can effectively problem solve and multitask work independently and as a team player. Remain calm and think logically especially during firstaid and emergency circumstances. Complete training and pass the Student Farmer quiz.
